Suggestions & tips for [m]PowerADMIN administrators
I hope all is going well with [m]Power in your community--thank you for your enthusiasm and efforts in making it successful!
I'm writing today to highlight two [m]Power features that may be particularly helpful to you--both in demonstrating [m]Power to new or potential participants as well as in conducting group sessions with participants who may have more limiting forms of cognitive or physical impairment that challenge them in their independent use of the system.
Demo Mode: The [m]Power system has 5 demo sessions (each approximately 10 minutes in length) that can be accessed by logging in with the initials below. Please note that these sessions are for demonstration purposes only and will not self-adjust in level of challenge in the same way that standard [m]Power user sessions do.
- DA (Level 1, most challenging)
- DB (Level 2)
- DC (Level 3)
- DD (Level 4)
- DE (Level 5, least challenging)
Group Sessions: Group user sessions can be conducted by logging in with the initials GU. These sessions are dynamic, and will have new content each time but will never rise above Levels 4 and 5. Therefore, group sessions are most appropriate for participants who are at a challenge levels of 4 or 5 and/or unable to play individually, or as a way to introduce the program to participants who may be uncomfortable playing on their own at first.
I hope you find these features of [m]Power helpful, and please let me know if you have any questions or feedback about using them.
Sincerely,
Elizabeth

New [m]Players
If you have residents who are starting the [m]Power program for the first time we have found that the first few sessions are critical to their continued interest. If you can encourage your residents to commit to 15 sessions over 21 days or 25 sessions over 40 days, they will be off to a great start in making [m]Power a healthy habit.
