Dakim, Inc.
Founded in 2001, Dakim’s mission is to use cognitive stimulation to improve the quality of life for active seniors desiring to maintain their brain health and for those at risk for or suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and to help care providers achieve this goal while reducing their cost of resident care.
Dakim is supported by a Scientific Advisory Board comprising some of the world’s most respected researchers in brain health and Alzheimer’s disease. Dakim’s Chief Scientific Advisor is Gary W. Small, M.D., Director of the UCLA Center on Aging and the UCLA Memory and Research Center.

Dan Michel, Dakim's founder and CEO (Right), his father (Center), and his daughter (Left) in 1996.
History
Dan Michel began creating mental stimulation systems when his father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. In helping his father resist the loss of his cognitive abilities, Dan became determined that others in his situation should have better tools to help them in this fight. At Dakim, we're working hard to develop the best, most innovative cognitive fitness systems possible, to help all seniors maintain their mental acuity and quality of life.
